Li Keqiang: Chinese economy growth is sustainable despite uncertainties

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said the Chinese economy remains on track for sustainable growth this year despite global uncertainties. That’s according to a written interview Li gave to the Russian news agency TASS. The premier spoke ahead of an official visit to Moscow that begins on September 16. Li said that data from the first eight months of this year showed that China’s economy continued smooth and sustainable development. That came as GDP grew 6.3 percent year on year in the first six months while key indices remained within a reasonable range.

Li said achieving a growth rate of more than six percent wasn’t an easy task for such a big economy as China’s, especially given the complex global environment and previous high base number. And this rate is still among the fastest growing economies in the world.
